Carrie Martin

Co-founder and Director of Latin Addiction

A 3 x National Champion in both salsa and latin & 3 x World Salsa Champion in various categories, Carrie has trained numerous students to National Champion & World Champion Status in Latin Dance! Carrie’s love of dance began at the age of 3.  Spending her childhood years training in ballet, ballroom, Rock “n” Roll, tap and disco, she completed all levels of examinations for ballroom, disco and Rock “n” Roll in the UK.

In her adult years, Carrie’s passion turned to Latin Dance, where she enjoys teaching, performing and social dancing.

Carrie has an extensive knowledge of all styles of Latin Dance along with contemporary and hip hop and displays her creative flair through her choreographies.  Carrie has also taught and performed at overseas congresses and festivals and her expertise has been utilized as a judge for national events.

Mark Weaver

Co-founder and Director of Latin Addiction

Mark has always had a great passion for social dancing and has performed & taught both nationally and internationally at several congresses & festivals.

A 2 x National Champion, Mark loved to dance from an early age. He went on to discover latin dancing and has never looked back. His effortless dance style and respect for his dance partners ensures he is a popular dancer on the social floor as well as the stage. Mark is also a highly respected judge at National level competitions.

He loves being able to pass on his knowledge and techniques to his students and is a very highly thought of teacher both here and overseas. His clear and concise style of teaching is both refreshing and easy to follow!

Lee Dent

A passionate dancer who just loves Salsa and Bachata, Lee has danced, trained and performed with Latin Addiction since 2011 both here in NZ and overseas! Also a multiple times national Champion, Lee loves to teach his favourite dance styles of Salsa and Bachata from Beginners through to advanced. You can often find Lee out on the social dance floor and you can be guaranteed of leaving that dance floor with a smile on your face whenever you dance with Lee!
